    Dora DuFran was a legend in Deadwood, South Dakota history most notable for running four brothels one of which was in Deadwood. One such house of ill repute was called “Diddlin’ Dora’s”!!!  Legend has it that from time to time she even employed Calamity Jane!!!
    Dora passed away on Aug. 5, 1934 at the age of 62 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
