We are offering a darling early Vogue strung Ginny doll from the 1949-50 wearing her adorable early outfit named “Debby” from the Toddler Afternoon Dress & School Outfits Series #8-1C Vogue offered in various solid colors and prints.  She comes to you in her original correctly marked box too (see photo).  Box does show wear, tear and soiling from age but has kept her in wonderful overall condition and is her factory original box.  Well taken care of and stored away and wants to be on display and enjoyed.  Please take a look at all our photos and our detailed description and see if this special gal would be one you might enjoy.
Ginny is a hard plastic  sleep eye transitional 1949-50 doll that is marked on her back Vogue doll.  No obvious cracks, no breaks, all fingers intact and does appear to have been restrung by previous owner.  Nice full original mohair factory wig, retaining most of the original style with some stray hairs  expected for a doll over 60 years old and even with the most mint in box dolls when
    hair has not been redone
    .
Her eyes do need assistance to open and close usually and is common and acceptable to most collectors.
She has typical pale transitional lashes and brows but visible, common with these early dolls  The pale pink cheeks and pale pink lips; very sweet soft look in person.    She has been restrung so you don’t have to worry about her falling apart from old loose or dried out rubber bands; now she can be posed and enjoyed.   Ginny is wearing an outfit that you don’t often see and especially in wonderful and complete condition.  Outfit is “Debby”, a  3-piece factory outfit; tagged and has  no stains, no tears and no repairs; still lovely (see photos, upon close scrutinizing we see one tiny little pin dot mark on the back of the bow to the right, very tiny).  Outfit still retains nice body to the fabric and whites are still white and nice pastel light pink.  Dress is the cutest with the dotted swiss white dress and pink ruffled attached apron and big bow on the back; closures in back is hook/eye with no stains to the dress.  Correct and matching dotted swiss white panties have good elastic in waist and legs (no replacements here).  You more often see this outfit in some of the prints, this is so feminine.
The adorable wide brim ruffle trimmed bonnet retains the original ribbon ties; all excellent.  Her bonnet frames her face well and really shows her off; that sweet soft innocent look that sets her apart from the later Ginny’s.  Ribbon ties on bonnet are original and
    not replaced
.  She wears her excellent oil cloth center snap shoes with strong snap attachments holding well with no repairs as you can see in the photos, original vintage socks completes her outfit.  Center snap oil cloth shoes are 1950’s Vogue and
not the newer 1980’s replacements that you see offered on some dolls
which have the same key snap design.   Ginny Debby comes to you carrying her cute  pink purse and is ready to be displayed and enjoyed.  A very pretty pre-owned early dressed Vogue Ginny, ready to find a new home.  She will be packaged well in her original box (correctly marked, showing wear, tear, etc. as mentioned above but still sturdy) and is looking forward to going to a new home.
If you love the earlier strung Ginny dolls in very sweet and ruffled outfits  than she may be one you might want to consider adding to your collection.  Please check out all her photos and any add’l notations under them, and contact us with any questions or concerns.  We are selling Ginny as pictured and described, final sale so please view all the photos closely.    We encourage questions so if you see anything in the photos that you need some clarification on and we may not have covered in our description or any other questions, please let us know.  We are here to help and want to make your buying experience a very pleasant and enjoyable one.
We tried to capture how pretty she is in person but am not the best photographers.  Took photos in different light settings to try to capture all her wonderful attributes, so please check them  out.  We think most would be very pleased with her and a Ginny you don’t see offered to often.
Thanks for stopping by and please check out all our auctions for lots more from our collection that we are offering; any requests, let us know.
Please check out our other postings too for more hard plastic vintage dolls, antique bisque dolls and a variety of vintage and antique doll outfits and accessories too.

We may not be  fully knowledgeable in all vintage collectibles & all types of dolls, but do have expertise in some areas.  We strongly encourage questions and welcome any add’l details on an item that may be helpful to others too.   We do  detailed descriptions & offer lots of photos,  but we count on the bidders/buyers to contact us with any concerns or request for additional details about a specific item being offered so that your experience is a positive one from start-to-finish.
There may be slight variations in the color shades of items as it is hard sometimes to capture the true color in the photos or scans, but if any, it would only be slight and most items are nicer than photos show. We are not professional photographers nor have vast knowledge in all the newest technology.  Please contact us with questions in case we missed something important to you as “all sales are final, no returns” unless we have grossly misrepresented an item.  Must be contacted immediately upon receipt to discuss.  Please bear in mind that these are vintage items and made as play things, over 50 years old (most) and some older (antique) so there may be some flaws in the making as many things may have been hand done and/or machine made or a combination.  We do our best to provide lots of photos and specific condition issues too.
