    The planter weighs 11.3 ounces before packing, so, with padding and sturdy box, it can just barely make the 16 ounce limit to go 1st class package. or PRIORITY MAIL BOX insured , or, Parcel Select not insured, it will ship at the USPS 1 lb rate for your location. Buyer chooses shipping on the invoice.
    As stated in the “CONDITION “ part of the listing, it is in EXCELLENT condition. No damage. Just some white specs in side.
    I have a difficult time trying to describe this piece. The best I can come up with is that it looks like a hammered pattern like you see on mission style metal pieces. The color looks like a very dark aged bronze, with a slight iridescent look when the light catches it.
    The bottom has the
    McCOY USA in a circle
    logo, which my McCoy book states was used 1940’s to 1960’s
    There is also a number under the logo , but glaze is thick and I cannot make out the 3rd digit .

    I put “RARE” in the title for good reason. I looked through more than 2400 eBay planter listings and many more bowl listings, and found NOTHING LIKE IT.
    AND, I LOOKED THROUGH ALL THREE VOLUMES of the McCoy Collectors Reference books by Bob Hanson and found NOTHING THERE LIKE IT.
    SO, I am going to proceed guessing that it is RARE.
